Kate Hudson has looked just amazing the past few days through he media blitz while promoting the new movie Bride Wars. I’ve loved her co-star Anne Hathaway since she was in The Princess Diaries. Kate looked stunning last night one David Letterman and looked even better at the premiere for the movie itself while wearing a sparkling two piece black and white geometric mermaid shaped Oscar De La Renta gown.
Come a few days from now I’m sure there will be a few knock-off dresses just like this gown, but if you want to keep it all in the Oscar De La Renta family, might I suggest this Black Silk Faille Shibori Dress. It has the same black and white feel of Hudson’s dress, but in a cocktail style. It has a pleated waist and lands about 23 inches from the natural waist. You’ll have to pre-order this beauty though. It is priced at $2,990.

Oh and p.s. here she is at David Letterman-I didn’t want to leave you all hanging.

You know those horrible Spring Days when it’s super sunny and you feel like getting dressed up in your new bright clothes and then you open the door an realize that it’s -30 degrees outside and run back inside to put on some horrible outfit? I think I’ve found the solution in this nice little outfit put together by net-a-porter.
Every Monday and Wed., if you’re signed up you can receive a “What’s New” e-mail from them. In this Monday’s “What’s New” e-mail I found this beautiful Fendi Cashmere blend elongated sweater. The sweater has a visible pink chiffon slip underneath to give it almost a sweater dress like appeal. The neck and sleeve detail are to die for.

These Michael Kors Cropped Skinny Jeans are just what any casual fashionista needs to add to her wardrobe, whether you have your pair of skinny jeans or not, you can’t go wrong with these three pocketed zip fastened $375 jeans.

Who said Heloise had to always be a homemaker? The sweater pops even more with this Chloe Heloise metallic shoulder bag. It has two plaited strapes, open pouch pockets, a small press stud fastening pouch at the front, feet on the base, a zip across the top to fasten, pleated panels at the sides, a zipped pocket and an open pouch pocket on the inside and is fully lined. It’s priced at $2,150.

The outfit would not be complete without the Chloe Strappy Leather Sandals. The heel measures 4.5 inches and the leather is just seamless. They add a punch of femininity to almost any outfit. They can be yours for $595.

Isn’t it a lovely time of year when you go to the store or website of your choice, whether it be Barney’s, Gap, or Forever 21 and they have the next season’s items out? It’s almost like another Christmas. That’s how I felt when I saw the banner at the Neiman Marcus website for the Spring Prada line. So, dadadada. Here are some of my favorite handbags from the Spring 2009 Prada Handbag season.
Oh, and speaking of handbags, if you want to win your own new fabulous handbag for the new year from HandbagHeaven.com head over to Hot Mama Daily and tell Tracey what your New Year’s Resolution is.
Well…I won’t keep you waiting any longer…here are the bags!
Jeweled North-South Tessuto Tote It’s a bright fuschia nylon with some emerald-cut stone embellishments to add to the detail. Added with the “Prada” label on the front. It also comes in black. Listed at $1395.
Jeweled Whipsnake Clutch More jeweled detail with some snake skin detail. You can get this in a silver or gold tone. $1295.
Jeweled Cervo Tote This looks a lot like the Jeweled North-South Tessuto Tote but is deer skin leather. Also follows the Spring collection with jeweled embellishments.
Metallic East-West Tote This one is yummy! I love the pink metallic color it has. It also has a hanging ID tag. This is priced at $1765.
Side-Pocket Metallic Tote The blue is stunning! This one has shoulder straps and comes with side pockets to drop all your extra things in, sun screen, cell phones, lip stick, sunglasses. $1495.
Double Handle Tote Pre-Order this one today. Orange may be the new black this upcoming season. This bag has gold tone accents and buckle detailing. This bag is priced at $1760.
Chain-Handle Shoulder Bag The gold detail in the handles on this handbag are amazing. There’s also some woven detail that is to die for. I want one! if only I could find $2150 to get one.
Small North-South Tote This tote also comes in a large size, but I prefer the smaller because of the pink color. It is 16 inches high 14 inches wide by 6 inches deep. Pre-order this one as well for $1220.
Nylon Chain Handle Tote. The pattern is so spring-y! I love the brown color as well. The handles have the same detail as the Chain-Handle Shoulder Bag. The Nylon Chain Handle Tote, however, is less expensive, at $995. You’ll need to Pre-Order this one today.
Dome Bowler Now, if only I could take this one out bowling with me without looking like a fool. Maybe I just won’t take this bowling, just out every where but bowling. This one comes in a bright banana yellow and a bright fuchsia. There’s silver tone detail and a tag label as well. This one is priced at $1695.
Do you need to see more Prada Spring 2009 bags? There are plenty more here.

Well of course celebrities will take some time off during the weekend to go shopping! That was the plan for Nicole Richie and Joel Madden this weekend when they went out for lunch and then headed out for just a bit of shopping.
It doesn’t look like she bought too much, unless there are bags hiding back there, she is only carrying one bag. Well, that’s more then I would ever be able to carry out of a Chanel store.
If you can’t get out to the Chanel store in Beverly Hills, don’t forget that you can find some wonderful luxury products, including make-up, toner, and fragrances at Neiman Marcus

Reality TV (or unreality as some like to call it) is my guilty pleasure. When I found out a few months back that Whitney Port of the Hills would star in her own Laguna Beach –> The Hills spin-off at Diane Von Furstenburg I was not only jealous of her opportunity (she is my age), but also stoked about watching it.
A few days ago, however, I caught an article at NYMag.com which questioned her employment at DVF. Several employees mentioned their inability to work and the lack of actual work done by Port.
Anyway, back to fashion and away from reality TV. While Whitney was spotted “filming” her reality show in October (and who knows when this actual scene will air) she was pictured wearing a cute little orange dress, navy blazer and some white heels.
Maybe she got the orange from the latest Diane Von Furstenburg line, including this Chevron Cardigan that you can get from Bergdorf Goodman for $345. I know cardigan are all the rage this season, I myself own several and could not live without them. I would pair this with a pale tee or cami. This one has long sleeves, a long v and has front pockets to put your keys and/or cell phone in if your in a hurry.

All these pictures of stars and their families ringing in the New Year in tropical locales including Sydney, Cabo San Luis, Miami, & the West Indies, make me want to buy some new sandals, sun dresses, sunglasses, and bikinis.
If you’re like I am, then these Christian Louboutin Salamanca Wedge Sandals would be a great addition to the Spring/Summer 2009 wardrobe. The raffia detailed wedge with black patent cuff is about 4 and a half inches high and do come with the classic red sole.

Grab your beach bag, sun dress, and sunglasses and get going! You can get these from Net-A-Porter for $495.

It cannot be denied that Paris and Nicky Hilton know how to put together an outfit. This was true on New Years Eve in Sydney, Australia at the Trademark Hotel at Kings Cross. They attended the Bongo Virus Party, along with Paris’s new BFF Brittany Flickinger (I think she was the best choice!).

The girls both chose to wear silver ensembles, from head to toe. You’ll be lucky to find their dresses in any stores, Paris is wearing a Vintage Versace number.
By the end of the day on January 2, 2009, Paris, Nicky, and Brittany Flickinger were leaving Sydney after spending time partying and doing some charity work at the Queensland Children’s Hospital in Queensland, Australia.

Celebrities all over the world either spent the last few days in either frigid environments like New York City or in warm and sunny locations like Miami, Florida.
Lindsay Lohan was spotted in Miami over the New Years holiday in a hot bikini with friends (which I am on the hunt to find for all of you) and some cute Ray Ban sunglasses. I have to be honest, I myself will never wear a pair of glasses, whether sunglasses or for vision purposes, with the extra little rim on top. It reminds me of a horrible teacher I had in high school. But, some people, including LiLo can pull the look off.
So, if you are looking to purchase a pair of Aviator sunglasses for the ski season or the upcoming Spring/Summer season, look no further then Neiman Marcus for the Classic Aviator Sunglasses from Ray Ban for $129. You can get them in both gold and silver. What you can’t tell from the Lindsay Lohan photo is that the lens are green. I love the green tin. I think they add an extra punch of luxury to the sunglasses.

December 31st, 2008

Like many people, events, and television shows, the year would not be complete without a countdown of the Top 10 Best of something here at the Latest Luxe. Earlier in the month I thought about doing a countdown of sorts, but by shear procrastination that just isn’t going to be possible. It would be March by the time I’d get to that. So, without much fanfare and excitement here are the Top Ten Most Luxurious Items from the Latest Luxe in 2008!!
Most Luxurious Items found at The Latest Luxe 2008 Edition….
10. The Dolce & Gabbana Miss Easy Way Quilted Boston Bag . This versatile and oh so glamorous D&G bag suites everyone’s on the go nature. It comes in Red and Gold.
9. Every girl wishes for a pair of Manolo Blahnik heels. Sabah found these Leopard Sandals on May 20, 2008. The top strap is super sexy and the 4 inch heel is just stunning. I think I need a pair for this New Year’s Eve, even if I’m going to be sitting on the couch watching the ball drop in my pajamas.
8. Yet another simple and adorable bag, this Versace Patent Hit Bag comes in at elegant eight. If you’re not one for trends, but one for quality and for timelessness, then this is the one for you.
7. Even more handbags!! What?? Are you Serious? Sabah was on top of things in January when she brough us a Sneek Peek Top Eight Gucci Handbags for Spring 2008. I’ve got to hand it to her, she had a way with the handbags! They were all winners!
6. Don’t forget about the casual girl in you though! That’s what the number 6 post did for everyone. The Gucci Barcelona Tennis Shoes are a bit of glam for the athlete in you.
5. There’s even more sophistication found in these Dior Folies Suede Pumps from the summer season. Our number five ranking is a break from the wedges, flip-flops, and metal pumps of the summer season.
4. The Grecian inspired look was all over the runway this season. From flat sandals to strappy dresses to my number four pick, these Gucci Mabouska Studded Sandals.
3. Everyone seemed to agree with my sentiment that I should buy these Christian Louboutin Armadillo Striped Satin d’Orsay Sandals that I found in December while shopping at Neiman Marcus. That’s why they are coming in at number 3.
2. Perhaps another shopping event inspired Sabah’s entry about these Christian Louboutin Very Croise Platform Slingbacks that were the focus of the post, Very Croise Indeed with Christian Louboutin and had the second highest number of readers during 2008.
1. And finally, the number one post of the year, it isn’t shoes, it isn’t a handbag, it’s an Issa London Kimono Dress that wasn’t a wrap dress or event a tunic dress that were so trendy for the Spring/Summer season of 2008.
